IndexFacile Docs

Automatic revisions

How IndexFacile calculates your revisions, dashboard badges and the auditable calculation table.

Automatic calculation cycle

IndexFacile runs a daily cron job that:

  1. Calls the INSEE BDM API for each tracked series
  2. Compares the retrieved values with those in the database
  3. For each newly published value, calculates revisions for all affected contracts
  4. Sends alert emails to impacted users

Availability delay

INSEE publishes its indices on a monthly schedule (BT and TP at end of month, ILC and ILAT mid-month, IRL in January, April, July and October). The cron runs daily; revisions are generally available within 24 hours of the INSEE publication.

Index status

StatusMeaning
FinalOfficial value, will not be modified
ProvisionalEstimated value, may be revised
EstimatedValue calculated by interpolation

IndexFacile displays a warning on any revision calculated with a provisional or estimated index. When the value becomes final, the revision snapshot is locked (immutability) and will never be recalculated.

Dashboard status badges

Each contract on the dashboard displays a badge indicating the status of its next revision:

BadgeColourCondition
Revision dueRedThe last revision is more than frequency + 1 month ago
UpcomingAmberThe next revision is within 30 days
Up to dateGreenNo revision is due soon
(no badge)No revision calculated yet

Auditable calculation table

Each revision displays a table detailing all calculation steps. Click Calculation detail to expand it.

Table contents:

  • Formula applied (e.g. P = P₀ × (0.15 + 0.85 × I/I₀))
  • Values used: I₀, current I, P₀
  • Result P_n and revision coefficient
  • Index status (final / provisional)
  • Any warnings (ILC: cap applied)

This table meets the audit requirements of French public contracts.

Revision immutability

A revision calculated with a final index is locked: it will never be recalculated, even if you modify the contract. This ensures traceability and compliance with accounting obligations.

Revisions calculated with a provisional index may be updated by the cron if INSEE publishes the final value within normal timeframes (typically the following month).

Email alerts

Each time an index affecting your contracts is published, you receive an email containing:

  • The contract name and published index
  • The calculated new price P_n and revision coefficient
  • A direct link to the contract page to download the PDF letter

Email support response time is 48 business hours.
